Lectionary 2021 Daily Readings for Year B
The Revised Common Lectionary lists the scripture readings for each Sunday during Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. A reading from the Old Testament, the Psalms, the Epistle, and Gospels is designated for each Sunday. The Lectionary is divided into three years designated as Year A-Matthew, Year B-Mark, and Year C: Luke. Readings from the Gospel of John are covered during Lent and Easter each year. This way the major teachings and theme of the Bible are covered over the three year period. Most all Christian denomination join together in following the readings of the Lectionary. This means that the scriptures we read on a given Sunday are also being read by Christians all over the world.
Year B of the Lectionary starts Thursday, November 26, 2020
At Fork Chapel, we will read at least three of the readings assigned for each Sunday: the Psalm, the Epistle, and the Gospel.
In addition, Daily Readings for Year B can be found online at https://lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu/daily.php?year=B for those who wish to read and pray the daily scripture during their personal devotions. Also, printed copies are available at the church
