The resources listed on this page are not part of, or operated by, Fork Chapel UMC, or the United Methodist Church. However they could be helpful to our church members. Links to the website for each organization are included as well as their phone number. Senior Care Resources

Caring.com is a leading senior care resource for family caregivers seeking information and support as they care for aging parents, spouses and other loved ones. We have been featured by AARP, The Administration for Community Living, The National Legal Resource Center, and Forbes, as well as referenced by many governmental agencies and organizations across the Internet.


MemoryCareFacilities.net provides listings and information for memory care facilities – Memory care facilities are care homes that provide the much-needed care to adults with memory care issues. Memory care facilities can be in various forms, such as: dedicated dementia care facilities or communities, dedicated Alzheimer’s care facilities, Alzheimer’s day care, Alzheimer’s nursing homes, dementia nursing homes, as well as assisted living facilities that provide memory care services.

Food Pantry

The Greene County Food Pantry was founded in 2007, as a 501c3, non profit, tax deductible organization. We serve all that qualify for assistance, and are especially partial to senior citizens. Over 30% of our clients are seniors living below the poverty level.

Our mission is to assist those in the community by providing a nutritionally sound assortment of canned goods, box dinners, rice, beans, pasta, cereal, fruit, meat, bread, etc in quantities large enough to provide for a few meals every month.

Pregnancy Center

The First Call Pregnancy Center are a resource to assist and advise you in the event of an unplanned pregnancy, or to help and educate mothers and fathers on taking care of their baby. We love our clients! Our center offers kind, compassionate, evidence based education. We will not judge you or tell you what to do! The center has some exciting changes, with many new volunteers and employees, and new programs to better serve you. Our amazing, loving volunteers serve as Receptionists, Baby Boutique Personal Shoppers, Earn While You Learn Coaches, Mommy Group Mentors, and Client Advocates.

Domestic Violence Help

The Circle Of Love Center, Inc. provides direct and support services to victims and their children through residential (shelter) and non-residential services in our five-county area – Greene, Morgan, Putnam, Baldwin and Hancock counties.

We work to raise community awareness and understanding of domestic violence issues and we are committed to making a difference in lives of families.

Addiction Help

Established in 1979, Penfield Addiction Ministries, Inc is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization carrying out its mission to “Reclaim Alcohol and Drug Addicted Men And Women Through Christ and Christian Love.”

For more than forty years we have successfully helped over 550 people per year find freedom from addiction and reclaim health, family, and productivity.

We also provide support and counseling for client families. The program at Penfield teaches evidenced-based recovery as well as relapse prevention from a Christian perspective.

Alcoholics Anonymousis a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
