The Fellowship of the United Methodist Women (UMW)
The women of Fork Chapel UMW meet the 3rd Sunday of the month under the leadership of Carolyn Copelan. Meetings are held during the months September to June. There are no meetings in July or August. Meetings start at 2:00 pm in the church fellowship hall.
Purpose of United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know god and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
History of United Methodist Women
The UMW organization was established in the 1869 and has a long history of mission outreach.
2020 Support of the Greene County Food Pantry
Greene County Food Pantry in Greensboro, Georgia 
Feb. 2020 Delivery to Food Pantry
The UMW have decided to provide year long support to the Green County Food Pantry again in 2020. Please bring your gift of food to the church by the 3rd Sunday of each month. Each month will have a specific food item request.

Following is a list of requested items to donate, by month, for 2020:
January – Dried Peas and Beans
February – Spaghetti sauce and pasta
March – Rice or Instant Potato
April – Corn/Green Beans or any canned vegetables
May – Canned Fruit
June – Breakfast Cereal (hot or cold)
July – Pop top canned meals (spaghetti and meatballs, chili with beans, ravioli, etc.)
August – Macaroni and Cheese dinners/boxed dinners like hamburger helpers
September – Canned meats like tuna, chicken, salmon, Vienna sausage and canned hams
October – Peanut butter and jelly
November – Canned tomatoes. Plus special Thanksgiving and Christmas meal items such as green beans, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, turkey gravy, chicken broth, black eyed peas, canned fruit, stuffing mix, jiffy mix, canned corn, cake/cobbler mix.
December – soups and soup starters
2015 Pillow Drive
he UMW members collected pillows from their members to donate to the Greensboro “Circle of Love Center”. The picture below shows some of the UMU members presenting the pillows collected. Presentation took place on October 30, 2015
